The programme is designed so that successful learners will then have the opportunity to progress to a level 3 advanced apprenticeship.
Our automotive programmes are taught by assessors and trainers with extensive industry experience.
Many of our previous apprentices have gone on to own their own garages.
Learners will cover topics that include:
- Basic vehicle maintenance
- Removing and replacing vehicle components from a range of systems including braking, chassis, engines and transmissions
- Vehicle inspections
Learners will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.
Successful learners could progress onto a vehicle maintenance apprenticeship, followed by permanent employment as a qualified mechanic, then progression to workshop manager, automotive engineer or owning own business.
