This course will provide the opportunity to analyse and evaluate business organisations and to understand the way in which they operate. You will identify and analyse business problems and evaluate alternative solutions. This work is set against a background of the environment in which businesses operate. You will also develop a range of skills that will enable you to make a professional contribution in a variety of organisational roles. The degree aims to develop technically competent, broad based individuals who think and communicate effectively, can work independently and in teams. It develops your skills required to conduct inquiry, carry out problem-solving and undertake critical analysis.

This course will provide you the opportunity to build upon your existing level 5 qualification in business and obtain an honours degree in one year.

What does the course cover?

On this programme you will study a variety of modules including:

  • Applied business research
  • Professional choice – learning knowledge and performance
  • Professional choice – brand identities and communities
  • Global business directions
  • Strategic management in organisations

You will learn through a range of classroom-based lessons and be assessed for the different modules through a combination of assignments, reports, coursework, case studies, presentations, in‐class assessments, group work, a reflective log and a work‐based project.

When will I attend?

Attendance is required every Tuesday, 4.30pm - 7.30pm.

What will I achieve

On successful completion you will achieve a BA (Hons) in Business Management, awarded by Staffordshire University.

What are the entry requirements?
  • You must hold a Foundation Degree in Business Management or Equivalent (e.g. Business HND/DipHE).
  • All applicants are individually assessed on their qualifications, skills and experience.
