Level 5:

  • Group dynamics and working as a team
  • Collaborative health care
  • Planning care delivery
  • Introduction to psychology
  • Social inclusion, power and advocacy
  • Children and families
Full-time degree
  • 2 year programme
  • 6 modules studied at level 4, 6 modules studied at level 5
  • Thursday daytime classes
  • Validated by University of Bolton
  • Progression route for relevant Access to Higher Education and apprenticeships
  • Students will be expected to undertake a placement within a relevant health and social care setting alongside the programme.  Full-time students are required to undertake 15 hours per week in a paid or voluntary placement
  • Applicants are usually expected to hold a level 3 qualification in a related subject; however substantial relevant work experience may also be acceptable.
Part-time degree
  • 3 year programme
  • 6 modules studied at level 4, 6 modules studied at level 5
  • Thursday morning classes
  • Progression route for relevant Access to Higher Education and apprenticeships
  • Students will be expected to undertake a placement within a relevant health and social care setting alongside the programme. Part-time students are required to undertake 7.5 hours per week in a paid or voluntary placement
  • Applicants are usually expected to hold a level 3 qualification in a related subject; however substantial relevant work experience may also be acceptable.
