What does the course cover?

This course will cover several key topics to prepare you for the world of work in Plastering. Topics include:

  • Working safely
  • Interpret and follow verbal and written work instructions
  • Fixing and jointing plasterboard to timber and lightweight metal framework
  • Direct bond plasterboard to masonry
  • Apply one, two and three coat plastering
  • Apply traditional, modern and machine applied rendering systems including coloured rendering
  • Understand how to cast products in fibrous plaster

 

 

Will I receive an allowance?

You will receive an allowance of up to £25 per week. 

What will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will achieve a NOCN Level 2 Diploma in Plastering (Construction).

What are the entry requirements?

Ideally, you will have completed the Level 1 Diploma in Plastering, however if you have a GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths you will be considered for this course.

How much does the course cost?

The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18.
