This Level 2 qualification provides you with a range of Plastering skills and knowledge. You will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.

As a plasterer, you apply different kinds of plaster to internal walls and ceilings so that they are ready for decorating. If you want a job in construction and you can work with your hands quickly and accurately, then this could be an ideal stepping stone to get you up-to-speed on the skills employers want. It also gives you an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the area you want to work in

What does the course cover?

This qualification covers:

  • Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries
  • Understanding information, quantities and communication with others
  • Apply render materials to external surfaces
  • Fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors
  • Form sand and cement screeds
  • Apply plaster materials to internal surfaces
  • Produce fibrous plaster components
  • Position and secure fibrous plaster components
  • Understanding construction technology

 

 

When will I attend?

Attendance is required on the following days:

  • Monday 8am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 8am - 3pm
  • Wednesday 8am - 3pm
What will I achieve?

On successful completion you will receive a Level 2 Diploma in Plastering.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements however, you will need to complete an initial assessment and interview.
