Course Overview

The focus and development of employability skills is a cornerstone of the award. This means acquiring and understanding academic knowledge, and being able to confidently apply this knowledge in practice through developing your skills as communicators, good team workers, having good interpersonal skills, becoming critical, having the ability to solve problems and make decisions. The programme will also support career progression, aspirations and provide you with business management skills.

How does it work?

Students are consistently encouraged to apply their learning to their work place. There will be engagement with businesses, a focus on real-life scenarios and activities to foster understanding of the integrated nature of business functional areas. We aim to provide you with courses which enhance your employability by instilling a lifelong commitment to reflective practice and professionalism. Discussion and full participation are encouraged with a variety of teaching methods being used. The programme on which you are about to embark is a demanding one that requires a high level of commitment but it can be immensely rewarding.

As Staffordshire students and through the “Staffordshire Graduate” programme, we focus on you. We help you to learn to be independent thinkers, to debate, question and discuss key issues in your chosen subject. You will be encouraged to be enterprising and entrepreneurial, to be an effective communicator and successful team worker.
