Course Overview

The Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies meets the requirements for continuing Professional development in the Early Years Sector. It will provide the knowledge and skills required for working with children in a range of care and education settings. It will also prepare students to engage with further study, enquiry and practice where knowledge of Early Years is required. Alongside academic progression, the course also provides the opportunity for supportive development of professional practice leading to a level 5 qualification. Upon completion of the Foundation Degree there is also opportunity for you to progress on to our BA (Hons) top up Degree at Level 6. 

It is suitable for experienced practitioners working directly with young children (0-8 years) in a range of care and education settings, and for teaching assistants specialising in early years.

This course will run one evening a week 5:30pm - 8.00pm at The Skills
