How do I apply for an apprenticeship?

Applying is easy - click on the vacancy you wish to apply for and then simply click on the 'Apply' button and enter your details or you can call our friendly team on 0161 233 2656.

Can I get an NUS card with an apprenticeship?

Yes! When you start an apprenticeship with us, you’ll be able to apply for your NUS Apprenticeship Extra card. 

NUS Apprentice extra provides discounts in-store and online at your favourite brands to help your hard-earned cash go a little further.  For just £11 for 1 year and £19 for 2 years, you get discounts from the likes of The Co-op, Amazon, Dominos, Alton Towers, New Look and much much more!

When can I start an apprenticeship?

Employers recruit all year round so, you can start an apprenticeship at any time throughout the year.

How long does an apprenticeship take?

The length of an apprenticeship varies, depending on your existing skills, the qualifications you are working towards, and the sector it is in. Generally, it will take between one and four years.

How many holidays do I get?

Like most other employees, apprentices will be given a minimum of 20 days paid holiday per year as well as bank holidays. 

Where will I train?

Most apprentices attend some off-the-job training at one our training centres or partner colleges and this might be day release or a block of training all together. Some apprentices may complete all of their training in the workplace.

 

How much will I get paid?

Apprentices are paid a salary directly by their employer and some employers will pay over the national minimum wage.

As an apprentice, you will be paid at least the National Minimum Wage.

How many hours a week will I work?

All apprentices work full-time, the hours will depend on your employer.
