We all know that an Apprenticeship can lead to great things and here's five famous people who have proven just that. Just for fun, guess the famous name who started working life as an Apprentice...       

He’s been a naked chef, tried to transform school meals and now owns a restaurant which has an Apprenticeship programme at the heart of its business operations.


He began as an apprentice in a completely different trade, whilst juggling work with his early football career. This former apprentice went on to become one of the UK’s most successful and famous football managers.


After leaving school with just one GCSE this former apprentice went on to work on Savile Row, before launching his own fashion house, leading him to win British Designer of the year four times and a CBE for his services to the fashion industry.


Creator of Team GB’s popular London 2012 Olympic kit, this former apprentice has worked on Saville Row and now owns one of the UK’s most famous fashion brands.


Most famous for his roles as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings and Magneto in X-Men, this actor began his career with a three year Apprenticeship in Coventry.
