Dalton Green and Samuel Gough, engineering apprentices at the Hyde Group, are through to the final stage of the North West Aerospace Alliance New Talent Awards.

The awards are all about recognising the achievements made by apprentices in the North West Aerospace industry. The ceremony will be taking place on Thursday 1st March 2018 at the Imperial War Museum.

Hyde Group is a leading engineering service provider that specialises in design and manufacture solutions. The company was established in 1968 and has 20 different business units within Aero Products and Tooling divisions.

Pam Dodd, Skills Acquisition and Retention Manager said:

“I am so impressed with the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm that both Sam and Dalton have shown towards completing their projects and organising their presentations for the awards.”

“Sam has grown in confidence since he started his apprenticeship and if there is a quality issue, he will ensure that feedback is given in the right way. Sam is an exemplary role model for all apprentices in the way he conducts himself and adheres to the core values of Hyde.”

“Dalton is currently the apprentice planning engineer at our surface treatments facility and performs his day to day job to a high standard.”

“I am so very proud of you both and have enjoyed every minute of supporting you on your journey!”

Anthony Hammond, Divisional Managing Director said: “It’s great to see all the efforts towards the young talent awards. We’ll be going to the awards ceremony and although I will have everything crossed for an award on the night, taking part is a huge achievement. The future of the company will be in excellent, clever, engaged and professional young hands.”
