About this opportunity

WMB Electrical and Mechanical Contractors are recruiting for an Electrics Apprentice to join the team and to work on a variety of projects across the North West.

Working with a qualified and experienced group of Electricians you could be working on commercial refurbishment projects, commercial and domestic buildings, installations, and a variety or work and projects to learn the Electrics trade and improve your general skill set.

Training will include work placements on live construction projects to gain first hand skills and knowledge of the industry, working with experienced trades professionals. Completing site health and safety documents and other paperwork as required.

Full training will be provided in Electrotechnical Technology at Level 3. The successful Apprentice will attend College on a day release basis for 3-4 years as part of your apprenticeship. At College you will study towards a Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology level 3 and work towards an NVQ level 3 whilst in the work place.

Work in this apprenticeship will be at numerous locations across the region and involve
Working in diverse settings. A physical capability as well as positive attitude to work is essential. Some of the work involved will be on the Manchester University re developments and transport access to the city centre may be needed.

Skills

Full training will be provided however, you must have good time management, be hard working and have a positive approach to learning, development, progression and be happy to attend College weekly.

Good communication skills are essential you should be polite, positive and approachable, have a hands on approach to working, be able to use own initiative and also work as part of a small team. You will need to respond promptly and positively to work, while working to agreed timescales on all tasks as requested by the supervisor. Basic computer skills would be desirable for completing H&S documents and site paperwork as part of your duties.
