A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with ABC Coaches based in Pendlebury, Swinton as an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

ABC Coaches are a well-recognised company currently looking to recruit an experienced apprentice to join the workshop, working specifically on the service, maintenance & repair of Coaches.

A normal day would include:
To service and repair body and panels of bus / coaches
Assessing faults and deciding how to rectify
Carrying out standard mechanical and electrical servicing, repairs and maintenance
Fitting and servicing parts
Removing damaged parts as replace with new
Using tools and equipment
Testing and quality inspections
Making sure vehicle comply with industry standards
Keeping records of all work completed
Working to best health & safety practices at all times
Other related activities as reasonable requested

What you should have to apply

Ideally grades C and above but not essential. Relevant Automotive Qualification.

Skills

To have a keen & genuine interest in the Motor Vehicle trade specifically an interest in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
Good knowledge and understanding of Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Previous experience working within the Motor Vehicle Trade, ie garage/workshop experience
