About this opportunity

Spectrum Plastics Stockport has an exciting opportunity for an apprentice manufacturing operative. You will be working in production and dealing with experts in plastic card manufacture.

A normal day would include:
Organising the relevant materials, requesting additional supplies and collecting them
Setting up the appropriate machinery, with the appropriate equipment and machine adjustments
Operating and feeding the machinery for each job
Continuously monitoring the smooth running of the job, cleaning and adjusting machinery throughout the process and producing work correctly and economically
Packing finished jobs into boxes, leaving unsealed and forwarding for quality inspection
Attending daily production meetings, when nominated, in the absence of the senior operator
Follow all health & safety guidelines for machinery, department and company and taking action or reporting to the appropriate manager

What you should have to apply

The applicant must have GCSE grade Cs or above in maths and English
