About this opportunity

This is a great opportunity to start a career in a care home environment. Parkside specialise in the care of residents with dementia, old age, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.

A normal day would include:
To work with residents encouraging choice, participation, motivation and risk taking
To ensure the safety of residents at all times
To assist with serving of refreshments and meals
To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities and to assist in the use of care aids and personal equipment
To make and change beds, assist in the care of personal clothing and washing and ensure the resident’s environment is clean and tidy at all times
To encourage and support residents, assisting at mealtimes and with bathing, dressing/undressing, personal cleanliness and appearance
To take part in scheduled day and group activities with residents in accordance with the activities timetables

Parkside Care Home provides residential and respite care services for residents. The living accommodation at Parkside is of a very high standard and every care is taken to ensure all residents live as independently as possible.

Parkside may require the successful candidate to complete a traineeship prior to the apprenticeship.

What you could go on to do:
You could progress onto an advanced Level 3 apprenticeship in health and social care.

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.
