This apprenticeship, designed to equip you for a career as an estimator, is primarily office-based at their site in Didsbury and will include extensive bid/estimating work on projects for mechanical and electrical services.
Tasks will include:
•Electronic management of drawings and specifications on bids to provide a measure for the project, including sending enquires out to suppliers and subcontractors in the supply chain
•Data input into specialist estimating software and producing reports and proposals
•Attending and contributing to bid team kick off and settlement meetings
•Towards the latter part of the apprenticeship, you will be managing your own sections on bids and will have a wide range of transferrable computer and technical skills. You will also possess the knowledge and confidence to deliver these to deadlines as part of the estimating bid team.
•As part of the apprenticeship, you will also work across different departments within Bouygues Energies and Services’ contracting division to get a clear understanding of the business.

Grade B/6 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) English language, maths and a science based subject, plus two other subjects at grade C/4 or above.
In order to be successful on this apprenticeship programme you must be self-driven, dedicated, hard-working and enjoy working as part of a team. An interest in engineering and/or the built environment would be helpful.
