About this opportunity
This marketing assistant apprentice role will involve assisting the marketing team with the development, delivery and evaluation of marketing plans that promote Manchester as a key destination for tourism, investment and growth.
A normal day would include:
•Ensuring all published marketing material is up-to-date, including compiling and publishing partner offers on national/regional websites
•Providing support across the marketing team and follow up evaluation
•Responding to enquiries received from partners, stakeholders and members of the public by telephone, email or face to face, providing the correct information in a timely and polite manner
•Collation of key statistics (web stats, partner engagement, campaign reach etc) to input into evaluation plans
•Assisting with the planning, and co-ordinating the distribution, of promotional material
•Liaising with partners and appropriate Marketing Manchester departments to facilitate sharing of information to support the delivery objectives
•Event preparation, supporting the delivery of events including post event breakdown
•Participating in the agreed supporting academic programme, including attendance at formal learning sessions and completion of associated assessments
Marketing Manchester is the agency in charge of promoting Manchester on a national and international scale.

What you should have to apply
GCSEs in maths and English (or equivalent) at grades A-C/4-9
•An enthusiastic individual with a passion to develop a career in marketing, must be highly motivated and results orientated
•Ability to understand, demonstrate and apply MGC values: Make a positive difference, Stronger together, Empower people, Do the right thing, Build on success
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Excellent planning and organisational skills
•Experience of working in an office or customer facing environment would be an advantage
