You will support site staff across the Academy school buildings within the Bolton area, including maintenance and security checks of buildings, some DIY tasks and ensuring health and safety checks are carried out.
A normal day might include:
Opening, closing and making security checks across school buildings
Liaising with external contractors about work being carried out on site
Receiving and signing for goods/equipment/orders
Checking the online system to view requests for support, such as setting up the hall in a particular way, asking for lightbulbs to be replaced, reporting a leak or a health and safety issue
The role will involve moving furniture and equipment, setting up rooms and undertaking security checks. The site team are responsible for the safety of school sites during bad weather, ensuring that staff, students and visitors are able to move around safely.
