About this opportunity

Manchester Women Aid are looking for a professional and confident business admin apprentice. In return Manchester Women’s Aid offers staff a competitive salary, career progression, flexible working hours, and other flexible benefits.

A normal day would include:
• Providing a friendly first point of contact, both on the telephone and in person, for enquiries from visitors, supporters and other stakeholders
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and donations
• Managing the Pankhurst Centre mailing list and e-newsletter
• Liaising with media contacts and be a presence on site during press activity
• Supporting the set up and management of the CRM database, including data entry and analysis
• Assisting in keeping an accurate record of finance, data and communications in line with the new GDPR laws
• Supporting the planning, preparation and delivery of events and other activities
• Ordering supplies using the internal purchase order system
• Setting up meetings and taking notes during them
• Providing administrative support including photocopying and keeping calendars up to date
• Maintaining the organisation’s external and internal communications and social media
• Liaising and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders Following strict confidentiality procedures of the organisation
You will become part of the business admin team and will be awarded for your positive contribution with opportunities to learn and grow a flexible approach to working 35 hours. Manchester Women’s Aid is an independent charity providing a range of services for women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. Due to the nature of the business this post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 part 1.
