About this opportunity
You will train to become a skilled and qualified lab technician, gaining extensive practical and theoretical technical knowledge. You will train across different area of the company to gain an understanding of the systems, procedures and processes.

Typical duties will include:
Operating in the laboratory with analytical machines
Testing chemicals using industry standard methods
Assisting in the manufacturing of speciality chemicals
Operating machines safely and efficiently
Supporting site activities
Working with internal departments

What you should have to apply
The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE minimum Grade 4 in maths, English, science and IT
A presentable person with a desire to learn new skills
Willingness to work in a hands-on laboratory role
Good interpersonal/ team working skills
Dependable/ good timekeeping
Positive, adaptable and flexible attitude to work and personal development
Willingness to undertake shift work
Ability to work in a logical organised manner.
Committed to a career in chemical engineering.
Good communicator – verbal and written (emphasis on reports and documentation)
Able to work safely in the lab and on the plant
Able to interpret specifications and technical information
Ability to work effectively, efficiently and safely to schedules and deadlines
