Wardle Trust are looking for an admin apprentice to provide reception and administrative support within the academy. Working mostly within the reception area of school, you will be the first point of contact with visitors to the school.
A normal day would include:
• Undertaking reception duties, answering routine telephone, face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors
• Assisting with pupil first aid and welfare, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents, staff et
• Arranging visits by school nurse, photographer etc
• Providing routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, completing routine forms
• Maintaining manual and computerised records/ management information systems
• Typing, word processing and other IT based tasks
• Sorting and distributing mail
• Undertaking routine administration e.g. registers/school meals register
• Undertaking routine financial administration e.g. collect and record dinner money
• Following policies and procedures relating to child protection, security, confidentiality and data protection
• Adhering to school health and safety policy including risk assessment and safety systems and the school policy on equality and diversity
