About this opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation. The role will be varied and offer real progression opportunities for the right person.

A normal day would include
• To support the office environment and help with general administration tasks, such as answering the telephone, emailing, scanning, printing
• Producing and maintaining word processed documents, presentations and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Helping to book meetings using Microsoft Outlook
• Researching and assisting with travel bookings including flights, rail and hotel bookings
• Welcoming visitors to the site and making refreshments
• Collation of holiday and sickness records
• Booking and set up meeting rooms and function rooms with equipment and refreshments and order tea and coffee supplies as required
• Keeping daily attendance / fire records up to date
• Booking conference call facilities
• Monitor stationery levels and assist with the ordering process as required
• Filing and archiving documents
• Assisting with preparing expense claims
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Assisting with off-site corporate events and conferences
• Logging IT issues with the IT Helpdesk
• Carrying out research on various matters as requested
• Work with other members of the team to identify opportunities to work more efficiently and effectively
• To provide high level customer service to both internal and external customers
• To work as an integral team member to support the team to achieve key targets
• To cooperate and meet regularly with the allocated assessor who will monitor the post holders work and competence in the role to support achieving the apprenticeship framework

What you should have to apply

None required but A-C/9-4 GCSEs in Maths and English would be an advantage
