A normal day would include:
• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as required including painting & decorating, joinery, plumbing and general facilities.
• To monitor the Facilities workflow including third party portal for Logistics & Engineering
• Provide timely updates on work order status
• Check and validate the Permit to Work for contactors and verification of compliance
• Create and document Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work for jobs
• Ensure jobs are completed to an agreed standard
• Contractor engagement and coordination
• Deputise for Facilities Manager during absence
• Create and manage Management Information (MI) Reports
• Check and validate invoices
What you could go on to do
You can go on to become a skilled trades person in one specific area of construction or become a highly skilled multi trades person with the knowledge and skills to carry out and manage full building and renovation projects
