The Sunflower Children’s Centre are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Childcare Apprentice to join their friendly team who will offer you support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery
• To give support to other personnel within the Nursery
• To help to implement daily routines
• To contribute to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff
• To assist in keeping records of achievement on file for parents
• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
• To be flexible within the working practices of the Nursery
• Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. cleansing of equipment etc.
• To ensure mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing
• To be aware of Safeguarding at all times
