Arrow Communications are looking for an IT apprentice to join its busy IT team. This will be an IT infrastructure role and will start off at the very lowest level of password resets, new user creation and other standard hygiene jobs.
A normal day would include:
• PC / laptop repair
• PC / laptop configuration
• Ensuring all remote monitoring software is working as expected
• Keeping our records current for all IT compliance and legislation
• Hardware configuration checking against agreed specification
• Gaining an understanding of LAN switches and IP addressing
• Understanding how servers are put together and what they can
• Ability to navigate Active Directory on Microsoft Servers
• Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft applications
• Understand the fundamentals of O365 and Exchange
• Ensuring all housekeeping routines are completed and notifying the team of failure
• Occasional visits to customer sites to help with installs as part of a bigger team
