Apprentice Design Engineer

About this opportunity

This role is in a family run well established business and offers the opportunities to work alongside highly skilled personnel to gain knowledge, understanding and qualifications within the Design Engineering Trade.

Included in the overall role is training with systems and qualifications by attending college to achieve them with The Growth Company.
Team working, with dynamic input required so that projects meet tight deadlines for customers’ needs
Progression onto fully qualified design engineer once al qualifications and experience gained.

The role:
• Learning all aspects of expansion joint design
• Training in use of Creo 4 CAD, EJMA design and MRP systems
• Processing sales orders to facilitate manufacture, including drawings, manufacturing routings and purchase parts
• Support all internal departments as required
• Enthusiastic team player who can work within a small multi-disciplined design/engineering team

What you should have to apply

GCSE A-C/9-4 Maths, English and Science (Engineering certification and advantage but not essential)
