About this opportunity

An opportunity to join a busy market leading manufacturing company at their production facility in Hyde.

Initial training in the production department to provide an understanding of the sites systems,procedures and processes.

Working on the shop floor to develop detailed operational knowledge of the production machinery and processes involved in the Manufacture of Doors and components.

Becoming competent in machining and preparing component parts and assembling into subassembly. developing your detailed knowledge of engineering processes.

Apprentice door engineer, initially gaining knowledge of the production department to develop an understanding of the full range of company products and manufacturing processes.

Your aim will be to continually improve your range of engineering hands on skills to become competent in the operation and usage of all on site machinery and process plant used in the manufacture of door assemblies.

A shop floor hands on based apprentice engineer you will learn practical skills in the machining, assembly and fitting of doors,frames and associated parts.

Working under the guidance of the experienced members across the team, you will be supported to develop you skills and knowledge of the companies process.

Also attending college to develop your understanding of engineering process to achieve trained status and become a full working member of the production team.

What you should have to apply

Good GCSE achievements.
The role requires a good level of understanding in both Maths and Science.

The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE Grade D or above in Maths, English and Science. Good IT Skills and a similar achievement in IT would be an advantage.
