About this opportunity

The centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) provides continuing professional development opportunities for pharmacy professionals. This role is to provide efficient, effective, friendly and flexible frontline assistance.

A normal day would include:
•General clerical support including word processing, filing, photocopying
•Data input and retrieval from IT systems
•Use of spreadsheets
•Responding to emails and other correspondence
•Dealing with pharmacy professionals in person, answering telephones, taking messages and live chat service.
•Placing requisitions , maintaining stationery and organising travel
•Assisting with the preparation for meetings e.g. refreshments, room bookings, distribution of papers etc
•Assistance in preparing induction packs for new members of staff
•Assisting with events and diary management/intranet updates
•Attending meetings and taking notes/minutes

The department has a number of events throughout the year that the apprentice would be expected to attend:
Mid-year meeting: 1st March 2018 in Leeds (all travel expenses covered by CPPE)
National Meeting: 14th-15th October 2018 in Warwick (all travel and accommodation expenses covered by CPPE)
CPC Conference: 26th -28th April 2018 in London (all travel and accommodation expenses covered by CPPE

What you should have to apply

Minimum of 5 GCSE'S grade A-C including maths and English preferred.
