About this opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated young person to secure an apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Repair at Onsite Truck Repairs in Bredbury.

The successful applicant will be very flexible, highly motivated and can work well under their own initiative as well as being a team player.

A normal day would include assisting the qualified mechanics with the service and repair of the company’s own fleet of vehicles and helping with housekeeping tasks in the workshop. In time, the apprentice themselves will learn how to service and inspect the vehicles. They will then progress to being able to remove and replace components in Engine, Chassis, Electrical and Transmission systems and learn how to diagnose and repair faults in these systems.

Full training will be given to the successful candidate.

What you should have to apply

Ideally grades C (or 4) and above in GCSE Maths and English but not essential.

Successful applicants should be enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic, can work as part of a team, and assist colleagues in the day to day duties of managing a busy and challenging workshop environment. Candidates must have the capability to follow instructions and guidance working closely with a mentor. A passion for motor vehicle is essential.

Skills

None, company is willing to provide all training required. Company would prefer learners with GCSE’s C and above in Maths, English and Science as a minimum.
