We now have the opportunity of an admin apprenticeship in the fast paced, exciting industry of air cargo. There will be a lot of in-house training offered along with becoming air cargo security cleared.
A normal day would include:
• Answering telephone calls in a professional manner
• Delivering an effective and efficient administrative service to customers
• Keeping track of stationary and office supplies and ordering when needed
• Carrying out general administrative duties
• Using bespoke and Microsoft software packages
You will be working within the busy operations team inputting jobs (logistics pickups / drop offs). They also have an x-ray that you will be involved with, making sure you support staff with all cargo screening paperwork and that all audit requirements are met.
What you could go on to do:
There are many directions to go in to e.g. more senior office roles, on the road as a driver, in the warehouse as a supervisor, or a screening cargo.
