Spectrum Plastics Stockport has an exciting opportunity for an apprentice manufacturing operative. Working in production and dealing with experts in plastic card manufacture and encapsulation.
A normal day would include:
Checking the job bag, reviewing the instructions, highlighting and resolving potential issues and discrepancies
Organising the relevant materials, requesting additional supplies if required and collecting them from storage
Setting up the appropriate machinery
Operating and feeding the machinery for each job
Continuously monitoring the smooth running of the job, cleaning and adjusting machinery throughout the job process
Packing finished jobs into boxes, leaving unsealed and forwarding for quality inspection
Clearing machine and work area after each job
Visually assessing the quality of finished product including alignment and sealing.
Checking correct number sequence and verifying labelling information as per the job bag instructions, forwarding to despatch when satisfied.
The applicant must have GCSES grade C/4 or above in mathematics and English
Good use of computers.
