Griffiths & Armour are offering this exciting apprentice development programme. You will be fully trained to become an insurance broker, alongside full support togain the Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Standard.
A normal day would include:
• Creating, updating and managing computer and manual records
• Supporting with filing, photocopying, preparing draft reports, risk registers and presentations and any other duties as required by the broking team
• Dealing with telephone enquiries (promptly referring the query to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside own knowledge and experience)
• Attending client meetings, accompanied by an experienced member of the team
• Preparing file notes
• You will also assist with:
• Insurance certificates
• Pre-renewal questionnaires
• Debit notes
• Underwriter presentations
• Renewal/new business reports
• Client questionnaires
• Miscellaneous administrative duties
• In time, the successful applicants will have their own allocation of clients to manage and this will involve negotiating with insurers, placing cover and helping clients to manage their risk, as well as dealing with prospective clients with a view to securing new business.
What you could go on to do:
The opportunity to progress to a level 4 diploma.
