Paint Refinishing Apprentice Technician

About this opportunity

Walshaw Motor Bodies are looking for a paint refinishing apprentice with a relevant level 2 qualification to join their busy workshop in Bury. The company have an excellent reputation.

A normal day would include:
• Using the correct tools and equipment
• Working with plastic and composite materials
• Ensuring you prepare surfaces correctly for painting
• Establishing reasons for paint defects and correcting them where required
• Learning how to apply top coats
• Learning the process of colour matching

Walshaw Motor Bodies repair all makes of vehicles using only manufacturer approved parts and repair methods. Based in Bury, they have been repairing cars for over 20 years.

What you should have to apply

Ideally grades C (or 4) and above in GCSE maths and English but is not essential

Personal Qualities

Punctuality, reliability, honesty and a willing attitude to work and learn

Skills

• To have a keen and genuine interest in the automotive trade
• To have completed level 2 in paint refinishing or be close to completing and looking to progress onto level 3
• Driving license is preferable
