An excellent apprenticeship opportunity has arisen at an established, highly successful company servicing wheels for the air industry. The successful applicant will receive level 3 training in mechanical engineering, working with the non-destructive.
A normal day would include:
Working with qualified non-destructive testing inspectors to aid them in their inspection work
Washing and preparing aircraft parts for NDT inspection
earning different NDT methods i.e. dye penetrant inspection (DPI) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and work towards an EN4179 level 2 qualification
Learning and completing basic quality control practices relevant to NDT bay
Working on post wash NDT inspected parts and dispatching to relevant department for post processing
General housekeeping and maintenance of the NDT bay
Wage Progression:
Your salary will be reviewed constantly throughout the duration of your apprenticeship.
What you could go on to do:
To become a fully qualified NDT engineer, completing level 3 engineering training.
