Paint/Blast Apprentice

About this opportunity

An excellent apprenticeship opportunity has arisen at an established, highly successful company servicing wheels for the air industry. The successful applicant will receive level 2 training in mechanical engineering.

A normal day would include:
Stripping/removing paint off aircraft wheels and brake parts using automated media blast machines
Operating Odling Aerota machines to remove paint and corrosion of steel brake parts
Preparing parts for painting – hanging up, degreasing and masking
Learning how to prepare paint to aid qualified painters in their paint work
Learning how to paint aircraft parts
Dispatching painted parts to relevant department for post processing
General housekeeping and maintenance of paint/blast bay

Wage Progression:
Your salary will be reviewed constantly throughout the duration of your apprenticeship.

To become a qualified painter/blaster within the company.

What you should have to apply

GCSE maths and English grades A-C (4 and above)
An engineering qualification would be an advantage
