About this opportunity

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to develop your career in the fields of business, marketing, administration and event management whilst also gaining a much sought after level 3 qualification.

The role will be based at the prestigious headquarters of The Manchester Growth Company in Central Manchester - a major centre for business in Greater Manchester. The Business Growth Hub is the main centre for providing business support services for the regions’ most dynamic and fast-growing businesses. You will be instrumental in helping to organise a wide variety of events throughout Greater Manchester and publicising them through marketing channels.

Day to day activities will include:
• Carrying out website administration to ensure the smooth operation of the website and online tools
• Ensuring all associated administration such as raising purchase orders, invoice production and period end reports/reconciliation are completed in timely manner and are checked for accuracy
• Producing reports to measure return on investment on all marketing investments
• Providing support to help drive up the overall awareness of The Growth Hub and client engagement through developing new communications both hard copy and online
• Assisting with the design and implementation of targeted campaigns, working with other team members and co-ordinating suppliers and overall teams to ensure successful event delivery
• Contributing to and influencing the development and implementation of the hub’s overall use of social media
• Contributing to the development and delivery of regular electronic communications to the Hub’s client base, including co-ordinating newsletters and bulletins (helping create and design)
• Providing support for managing the Growth Hub websites CMS system and its content, supported by other team members
• Assisting in liaising with partners and suppliers and other team members when required to maintain the accuracy and appropriateness of website content and communications
• Representing the Growth Hub at appropriate events and contribute to the development and delivery of events targeted at clients and partners as required

What you should have to apply

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grades A-C including English and maths.

Ideally, AS, A2 or BTEC in media studies, art and design, business or ICT.
