This apprenticeship opportunity offers a person who has an interest in mechanical equipment to learn component modifications, in a busy manufacturing environment.
A normal day would include:
• Checking build instructions / drawings and receiving parts
• Carrying out modifications / remanufacturing as necessary
• Testing modified products
• Producing despatch notes, pick lists and other relevant paperwork
• Notifying completion of orders
• Working as part of a team
• Communicating daily in a professional manner with colleagues, managers, supervisors and suppliers
• Reading engineering drawings, technical specifications and building instructions to interpret requirements
• Being responsible for making certain workshop department equipment
• Maintaining machines and tools and ensuring they are safe to use before carrying out work
• A willingness to learn new skills and progress
• Undertaking training to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in personal development
• Loading, handling and unloading material
