Apprentice ICT Technician

About this opportunity

A great opportunity is available at Loreto Grammar School. The Apprentice ICT technician will be required to support the delivery of the curriculum throughout this outstanding school by providing technical assistance for users of the IT equipment.

To undertake installation of:
• Software for Curriculum and Administration networks
• Hardware and printers for Curriculum and Administration network and carry out appropriate maintenance
• To assist in the smooth and efficient running of the SIMS.Net system
• To ensure confidentiality and integrity of Information systems
• To assist in the monitoring of Curriculum and Administration network servers. Installation of upgrades to all servers and ensuring that backup procedures are implemented in accordance with the backup schedule
• To be responsible for the monitoring of the network software and implementation of software upgrades as appropriate
• To act upon support requests in troubleshooting computers, printers and network devices and ensuring that all requests are logged
• To provide planned and specific support in the classrooms when requested.
• To assist IT Administration in the setting up and administration of user accounts and network shared folders
