About this opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established, door systems manufacturing company to become a skilled installation engineer with extensive practical and theoretical technical knowledge in the area of door installation.

This role will involve travel to various locations around the UK to carry out installations, maintenance and repair.

A normal day would include:

• Work as part of a 3 man team
• Functionally skills
• Willingness to learn
• Willingness to work away, including overseas
• Willingness to work overtime
• Checking door sizes against drawing
• Checking van tools and stock
• Filling out job sheets
• Signing off installed products
• Good Communication skills
• Friendly outgoing personality
• Operate and safely install steel door products to a high standard on client’s premises.
• To identify and report near misses to ensure the safe installation and operation of steel door products.
• Interaction with coworking with experienced engineers installing steel door products
• Being available to cover call outs for the repairs department out of hours
• Support the engineering team with lifting and carrying heavy products
• Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of Company objectives

What you should have to apply

• The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE minimum grade C/4 in maths, English and science
• CSCS card – this will be part of the starter requirements and all costs associated will be re-reimbursed or paid for by ASSA
• Driving Licence an added advantage
• Passport
• Willingness to carry on Day release or block release
• Previous Engineering experience/qualifications, specifically in the areas of Mechanical and Electrical engineering would be a significant advantage.
