About this opportunity
Little Spuds Day Nursery are looking for an apprentice to join their team and learn about Early years childcare. Applications are welcome from individuals looking to start a career in Childcare or someone looking to progress from Level 2 to Level 3
You will be working alongside our qualified staff who will show you the ropes and assist in your training. Your role, as you work towards your qualification, is to assist in providing our pre-school children with a high-quality care and education, ensuring all children feel safe and secure whilst supporting their development and growth. You don’t need any experience, just a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
Specific Child Care Tasks:
• Assisting in delivering a high level of quality childcare maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff
• Building effective relationships with children, parents and team members
• Involvement in planning stimulating activities for the children in your care in line with the EYFS
• Actively work towards the apprenticeship frameworks provided by The Growth Company with an expectation of completion within the agreed timeframe
• Be enthusiastic and proactive in developing own skills within the workplace
• Demonstrate commitment to continued professional development
• Communicate with their line Manager regarding the activities and progress within the room
