This is a government funded programme which has been designed to support your development of knowledge, skills and behaviours when working in a finance or accountancy role.

Whilst your job role will involve assisting in the day to day financial activities such as; recording transactions, data entry into accounting systems, adhering to general business policies and procedures.

This course is designed to help you to build and develop your interpersonal skills. Improve your knowledge of IT procedures, whilst demonstrating teamwork, collaboration and professionalism.

What does the course cover?

The course covers a range of skills that can be applied in the workplace and is supported by elements of an AAT qualification covering bookkeeping transactions and controls, elements of costing and computerised accounts. 

You will complete a foundation synoptic exam covering working effectively, bookkeeping elements and written communication. You will also build a portfolio of evidence and undergo a structed interview and complete an in-tray test.

When will I attend?

This is mainly a work based qualification with attendance required half a day per week.

What will I achieve?

On successful completion you will achieve a Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Certificate and a Full AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting Level 2 

 

What are the entry requirements?

Ideally, you will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 4 or equivalent.

You must be employed in either a finance or accountancy role.

How much does the course cost?

There isn't a cost to learners. Employers will pay a contribution to the cost of the apprenticeship. Please get in touch for further information.
