This BSc (Hons) in Business Management offers a strong grounding in an essential range of contemporary business management subjects.

We also aim to help you develop lifelong learning skills so that you can take ownership of your professional development for the future, maximising your potential for success.

What does the course cover?

There are 3 levels to this programme: HE4, HE5, and HE6. Each level has 120 credits.

All modules on the course at HE4 and HE5 are core. At HE6 you will take either the Dissertation or, if you are in suitable employment, the Business Project.

At HE6 students will also take Strategic Management as core and 3 option modules.

When will I attend?

Attendance is required one day per week, 10am - 3pm plus online learning. 

What will I achieve

On successful completion you will achieve a BSc in Business Management, awarded by the University of Bolton.

What are the entry requirements?
  • You should have a minimum of two GCE A2-level passes (or equivalent), including any subject.
  • Ideally a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including English Language.
  • If English is not your first language you will need to complete a Secure English Language Test at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
  • You will be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

What does the course cost?

£8,250 per year (3 years).

Students are generally entitled to a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How many hours do I need to study per week?

We recommend the same time spent in class per week (5 hours) is the minimum time you should spend out of class to carry out your research and writing of assignments each week. 

We recommend that you allocate two days per week for your Bsc Business Management.

Can I do this course and be employed?

Yes, the majority of our students on the BSc Business Management work alongside their studies. However, you must be able to attend class one day per week and allow time throughout the week to work on your assignments.

 

The classes for our September 2024 degree will be every Tuesday 10am – 3pm.

I’ve not studied for many years as I’ve been working, will there be help available?

Yes absolutely, many of our students have decided to study with us on the BSc Business Management because we have smaller class sizes than the traditional university route which means we can offer additional 1-2-1 support. 

Can I enrol on a degree course with no qualifications and how will I know if I’m capable of degree level study?

Some students are accepted onto the BSc Business Management based upon work experience alone. We interview you to find out your background and discuss the requirements.  We also offer you the opportunity to come into an existing class to observe and talk to our students. 

If you’re not at the right level to study on the degree we would refer you to our Access to HE course first.

What type of assignments are there?

There are a mixture of assignments, including essays, reports, case studies, presentations and exams.
