This is a government-funded programme which has been designed to support and develop your knowledge and skills to get you started in your career in Health & Social Care with progression to the Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship.
The course brings together a wealth of knowledge, skills and behaviours that enhances your chance of securing an apprenticeship working in the Health & Social Care sector.
During this course you will be able to gain a full understanding of the values that underpin quality social care provision. These are known as the 6C’s - Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment. You will learn about the Health & Social Care sector and key employability skills which will enable progression to an Apprenticeship.
You will also gain a Level 2 Certificate in Falls Prevention Awareness and the Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of the Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care Settings.

You will also complete a work experience placement within the Health and Social Care sector.
On successful completion, you will achieve:
You must have a minimum of 3 GCSEs grade 3 or above.
You need to be highly motivated and committed, be able to work independently and have a strong willingness to learn.
This Study Programme is a combination of classroom and online learning. You will be required to attend 2.5 days per week.
The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18.
