An Investment Operations Technician usually works within the Operations areas of stock exchanges, stockbrokers, investment managers, banks, financial advice and wealth management firms, and investment consulting and investment administration businesses.
The majority of work completed by an Investment Operations Technician will be non-complex but requiring high standards of accuracy, proficiency and responsibility.

This is a work-based apprenticeship. You will benefit from 1-2-1 support on a regular basis in order to achieve competence as set against the knowledge, skills and behaviours set down in the apprenticeship standard.
You will complete the following qualification as part of the apprenticeship:
- Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) – Investment Operations Certificate
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 4/C or above including maths and English.
