This course will prepare you to work in the construction industry, helping you to understand how the industry works, the organisations involved and the opportunities available to you.

There is a clear emphasis on environmental awareness as well as health & safety and industry standards. The programme is split evenly between theory and practical.

What does the course cover?

On this Study Programme, you will cover:

  • Plastic waste pipe and clipping preparation
  • Copper tube preparation and installation
  • Low Carbon Steel (LCS) pipework preparation and installation
  • Plastic pressure pipe preparation and installation
  • Health & safety
  • Plumbing scientific principles
Will I receive an allowance?

Yes, you will receive an allowance of up to £25 per week. 

What will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will achieve a City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants must have achieved a GCSE Grade 2 and a minimum of Entry 3 in maths and English when completing the initial assessment upon enrolment.

How much does the course cost?

The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18.
