This is a government funded programme which has been designed to support your development and skills and get you started in your career in accountancy.
The course brings together a wealth of knowledge, skills and behaviours that enhances your chance of securing a job and working in finance/accountancy.
During this course you will be able to demonstrate your skills in communication, using systems and processes, personal effectiveness and attention to detail. Helping you develop your transferable skills, teamwork and professionalism.

The course covers a range of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in the workplace and is supported by elements of an AAT qualification covering The business environment, Introduction to bookkeeping transactions, Principles of bookkeeping controls and Principles of costing.
You will complete a synoptic exam covering the business environment.
Your programme will enhance your communication and personal development skills and the opportunity to undertake some work experience.
You will also build a portfolio of evidence to support the employability certificate this will be based on career planning, make applications and interview techniques, health and safety and code of conduct in the workplace, staying safe online and managing finance.
On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 2 AAT Certificate in Accounting and a Certificate in Employability.
You must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above, these must include maths and English (a Level 2 equivalent will be accepted).
You need to be highly motivated and committed, be able to work independently and have a strong willingness to learn, as you will be expected to sit regular exams.
You will be required to undertake an industry related initial assessment and interview to secure your place.
This Study Programme is a combination of classroom and online learning. You will be required to attend 3 days per week.
The course is FREE for anyone aged 16-18.
