Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying

This fully funded* Level 2 qualification is designed for learners aged 19 and older, who are seeking to further their education and enhance their skills for employment opportunities.

This Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying will provide you with a range of bricklaying skills and knowledge. You will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.

What does the course cover?

The NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 Extended Diploma in Bricklaying is an 87 credit
qualification. You must achieve all 57 credits from the Mandatory Units
section below and a minimum of 30 credits from the Optional Components section below:

Mandatory Units

  • Construction Health and Safety
  • The Construction Industry
  • Setting Out Masonry Structures  
  • Construct Solid Walls
  • Construct Cavity Walls
  • Constructing Thin Joint Masonry
  • Construct Masonry Cladding
  • Repair and Maintain Masonry  
  • Laying Domestic Drainage
  • Laying modular paving
  • Non-Specialist Concrete: Placing and Finishing
  • Handle, Move and Store Resources
Attendance

Attendance is required on the following days:

  • Monday 8am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 8am - 3pm

The course is delivered in-person at the Greater Manchester SkillCentre in Trafford Park.

 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry grade requirements however, you will be required to successfully complete an initial assessment and interview.

Qualification

On successful completion you will achieve a C-Skills Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying (Construction).
