As a plasterer, you apply different kinds of plaster to internal walls and ceilings so that they are ready for decorating. It also gives you an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the area you want to work in

What does the course cover?

This qualification comprises the following 9 mandatory units:

  • Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries
  • Understanding information, quantities and communication with others
  • Apply render materials to external surfaces
  • Fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors
  • Form sand and cement screeds
  • Apply plaster materials to internal surfaces
  • Produce fibrous plaster components
  • Position and secure fibrous plaster components
  • Understanding construction technology


The assessment requirements set for this qualification are multiple choice knowledge tests and practical assignments. All units in this qualification are mandatory and you must attain at least a pass in each unit in order to achieve the overall qualification. Achievement of this qualification will be assessed via a combination of knowledge testing and practical assessments that can be combined for synoptic delivery.

When will I attend?

Attendance is required on the following days:

  • Monday 8am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 8am - 3pm
  • Wednesday 8am - 3pm
What will I achieve?

On successful completion you will receive a Level 2 C-Skills Diploma in Plastering (Construction).

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements however, you will need to complete an inital assessment and interview.
