Course Overview
The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies is a practical and comprehensive qualification designed for 16 to 18-year-olds to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in plumbing.
This course covers essential plumbing techniques and industry standards, giving you the confidence to work safely and effectively in a variety of settings. You’ll learn core skills such as installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipework, water supply, sanitation, heating, and drainage.
Throughout the course, you will gain hands-on experience alongside classroom learning, preparing you for real-world challenges in the plumbing industry. The course also includes health and safety training to ensure you understand best practices on site.

This course covers:
Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems
Pipework and water supply systems
Sanitation and drainage
Central heating systems
Health and safety regulations and best practices on-site
Practical hands-on skills through workshop and real-world scenarios
You will be required to attend the Greater Manchester SkillCentre up to three days per week.
Additional attendance will be required if you have not yet passed your maths and/or English.
Yes, you will receive a bursary of up to £25 per week.
