Course Overview

These qualifications are designed for young people who enjoy sport, physical activity and wellbeing, and who want to explore career opportunities within the sport and fitness industry.

You will learn about the sport, fitness and active leisure sector, develop practical skills, and build important employability skills that can support progression into further education, apprenticeships or employment. The qualification combines industry knowledge with transferable skills that are valued by employers.

This course is ideal for young people aged 16-18 who:

  • Have an interest in sport, fitness or physical activity

  • Are considering a future career in sport, fitness, leisure or coaching

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Learners should have an interest in sport, fitness and physical activity, and be willing to participate in both practical and classroom-based activities.
This course is suitable for young people aged 16 - 18 who are looking to develop their skills and knowledge in the sport and active leisure sector.
