Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

This mental health course will develop your knowledge and understanding of mental health, well-being and working within the mental health sector.

The course is FREE for those employed and are a Greater Manchester resident who is aged 19+

OR

those that are employed or unemployed and a South Yorkshire resident who is aged 24+ living in the following postcode areas: Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster or Barnsley

When does the course start?

We have regular start dates for this course, once you have registered your interest a member of the team will contact you to arrange your start date.

What does the course cover?

To successfully complete the Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health, you must complete the following 6 mandatory units:

  • Principles for implementing duty of care in health, social care or children's and young people's setting
  • Understand care and support planning and risk management in mental health
  • Understand mental health interventions 
  • Understand mental health problems
  • Understanding mental well-being and mental health promotion
  • Understand the legal, policy and service framework in mental health

 

 

Attendance

This course is delivered online, attendance is required every Thursday 10am - 2.30pm.

 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, however you should have a Level 1 qualification in maths and English.

 

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion, you will achieve a TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health.
